Sarah Fotsch ('12)

Sarah Fotsch ('13) is a junior at the Air Force Academy and a member of Cadet Squadron 38. She missed her sophomore season due to hip injuries but is returning for her second time as a member of the varsity basketball team.

Sierra High ('13)

Sierra High is a senior at UW-Whitewater. She played varsity soccer for Brookfield Central before she graduated in 2013. She is now majoring in communications and has played in 16 matches, mostly as a starter.

Erik Wahlgren ('12)

Erik Wahlgren, BCHS Class of 2012, was once just another young student in Elmbrook Swim club. He now swims for the UW-Milwaukee Panthers as a junior.

Lydia Rohde ('14)

Lydia Rohde is a freshman guard on Northwestern University's varsity basketball team. She graduated from Brookfield Central in 2014 before becoming a Northwestern Wildcat.

Dan Barwick ('12)

Dan Barwick is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a batter for the Panther baseball team with 2014 BC alum, Elijah Goodman. Dan graduated in 2012 and plans to major in finance.

Eddie Wajda ('14)

Eddie Wajda is a freshman at University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a stellar athlete at Central, where he was named best golfer in Wisconsin before graduating in 2014.

Wajda's average of 73.28 was the lowest in the area, and he finished tied for second in the 2013 Division 1 WIAA State meet with a score of 73-73--146 to earn Co-Player of the Year honors with UW golfer, Ben Skogen, and first team state honors ... also named the 2013 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel player of the year ... member of the 2013 GCAW Boys All-State Academic team

Josie Petersson ('10)

Josie Petersson is a senior on the UW-Stout cross country and track teams. She runs distance for the Blue Devils now, but raced as a Lady Lancer for Brookfield Central back in 2010.

Valerierose Agnello ('12)

Valerierose Agnello is currently a Junior at Witchita State. She is a guard on the varsity basketball team and intends to major in physical therapy. Before attending Witchita, she attended Kishwakee community college for two years and played on their basketball team as well. She attended Brookfield Central high school and graduated in 2012.

College Accomplishments: 2013 Outdoor: Finished 16th in the preliminary round of the 400 hurdles at the Big Ten championships (5/11) with a time of 1:06.43. 2013 Indoor: Placed fourth in the 60 hurdles at the Wisconsin NCAA Qualifier (3/1) with a time of 9.93 ... won the 60 hurdles at the Red & White Open (2/15) with a time of 8.99 ... took 10th in the 60 meters preliminary round with a time of 8:28 and placed fourth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.04 at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational (1/19). 2012 Outdoor: Competed in the Big Ten championships (5/12) to take 12th in the 100 hurdles preliminary round with a time of 14.27 was a member of the eighth-place 4x200 relay team (1:40.38) at the Drake Relays (4/27) and also a member of the sixth-placed shuttle hurdle relay team (58.32). 2012 Indoor: Place second in the pole vault at the UW-Platteville Invitational (2/11) with a clearance of 10-11 3/4 (3.35m) ... won the 60 meters at the Wisconsin NCAA Qualifier (3/2) with a time of 8.05.

Chidera Obasih ('11)

College: Indiana State University

High School Accomplishments: All-state for four years. She held school records in the 100, 200, 400, 4 x 200, and Long Jump. Broke state records in the 200 and 400 meter dashes. 2008: State Champion in 100m & 200m dash, 5th in Long Jump. 2009: 2009: State Champion in 200m dash. 2010: State Champion in 400m dash & Long Jump, 2nd place in 100m dash, 3rd in 200m dash. 2011: State Champion in 400m dash, 3rd in 200m dash, 4th in 100m dash.

College Accomplishments: Obasih comes to Indiana State from the University of Minnesota where she ran under Matt Bingle. She competed in events ranging from the 60 meter dash to the 200 meter dash and long jump.

Sam Rohr ('11)

College: Northern Iowa University

Gina Scaffidi ('11)

High School Accomplishments: During her freshman season she was named All-Greater Metro Conference Second Team and was voted Team MVP with 14 goals. Earned All-Greater Metro Conference First Team honors as a sophomore while also being named to the All-Area Team as her team finished as state semifinalists. As a junior she as again named All-Greater Metro Conference First Team as well as the All-Area and All-State Teams. She closed out her high school as a team captain with another All-Conference First Team selection as her team won the conference championship. Named to the All-Area First Team and All-State Team... named one of Top 20 athletes in Waukesha County. Ended her high school soccer career with 52 goals and 19 assists

College Accomplishments: Named to the 2011 & 2012  Summit League Fall Academic All-League Distinguished Scholar. Appeared in 19 games and started four games. Has one goal, which was a game-winner at Grand View. 16 shots, 12 of them on goal. 2012: Appeared in all 19 matches and made five starts. Netted goals against St. Ambrose on Sept. 9 and Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Aug. 24. Earned four points on the season. Took 17 shots and seven shots on goal.

Hannah Trasser ('11)

College: University of Minnesota- Twin Cities

Sport: Cross country & Track

High School Coach: Lorie Lewis

High School accomplishments: Lettered all four years in cross country and track. All-conference and all-state all four years. Named Greater Metro Runner of the Year in 2009 and 2011. Ran to 6th place in the 800m run at the WIAA State Championships in 2008. Took 6th in the 1600m run in 2009, 5th in 2010, and 2nd in 2011 at the WIAA State Championships. Ran to a 9th place finish in the 3200m at the WIAA State Championships. Finished in the top-15 all 4 years at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships including a 3rd place finish in 2007.

College accomplishments: Cross Country: The team's No. 4 runner (25th overall) at the Neubauer Invite (22:59.0). Competed in six races overall. Academic All-Big Ten.  Raced in four meets. Ran a career-best 22:35.4 as the second Gopher finisher at the Neubauer Invitational (17th overall). Finished fifth on the team at two meets, clocking in at 22:40.28 in 17th overall at the Blugold Invitational and 23:39 in 11th overall at Rocky's Run. Was the 20th Gopher at the Griak Invitational in 23:15.9. Track: Ran the 1,500m at the Musco Twilight (4:43.63) and the Alabama Invitational (4:45.09). Finished seventh in the mile (5:07.62) at the Parents Day Open. Best 3,000m time was 10:18.05 at the Iowa State Classic. Ran 3,000m at the Jack Johnson Classic (10:52.99).

 

Marcus Aprahamian ('11)

High school accomplishments:  Three-year letterman at Brookfield Central ... charted as the No. 33 offensive guard in the nation by ESPN.com ... tabbed as the No. 65 offensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com ... listed as the No. 1 offensive lineman and the No. 8 overall prospect in Wisconsin by Rivals.com ... helped Brookfield Central to three-year ledger of 20-9 with two state playoff appearances ... All-Midwest Region choice by SuperPrep ... first team All-Greater Metro Conference pick in both 2009 and 2010 ... named the Greater Metro Conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Year pick as a senior ... all-region choice by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association in 2010 ... also participated in track and field ... conference champion in both the discus and shot put.

College accomplishments: Received the Mike Suglia Award, an honor presented annually to the sophomore member of the Duke football program who best exemplifies the academic and athletic qualities of the late Mike Suglia ... on the field for 10 snaps including a season-high five versus Memphis.
