Band Camp

Marching Band Camp: Tuesday, August 15th-17th

(8:45-12:00 pm)

(enter from Door N9 in the North parking lot)

Students should have the marching music ("Don't You Worry About A Thing" and "James Bond" Part 1) memorized. Additional music will be handed out at camp. 

It is requested that all musicians participating in the camp have the following items. 

  • Tennis shoes
  • 3-ring binder with the student's name and 10 plastic sheets
  • Instrument in good condition (if a school instrument is required please email Mr. Gillette immediately)
  • Marching music
  • A check made out to BCHS for $40 (this helps to pay for equipment, outside instructors, and a pizza party on Thursday)
  • Flip Folders with 10 extra sleeves (*flutes need special flip folders that attach to the arm)
  • Lyre

Additional practices before camp are required for colorguard and percussion members. Dates and times will be sent out via email or phone call. Please answer these as soon as possible. Percussionists: please call our drum instructor Mike Hernke at (414)-840-4933 for the rehearsal schedule. Color guard: please call Nicole Fastabend at (262)-844-4989.

The band will travel to Great America on Friday, August 18th. If there are any conflicts or concerns, please contact Jason Gillette at gillettj@elmbrookschools.org.

Cinderella

Friday, November 17th-19th at the Sharon Lynn Wilson Center

MUSICAL INFORMATION:

All:

     Starting Monday, August 14th there will be Musical Information Packets in the BCHS Office. ALL Students participating in the Musical are requested to attend the Musical Kick-off Meeting the week of September 4th. The exact date has not been set but will be posted during the summer on the Theatre Bulletin Board. If there are any questions please email Mrs. Stacey Gannon (CINDERELLA-Producer) at stacey.m.gannon@gmail.com

Cast:

        Auditions will be on Tuesday, August 29th at 3:30 pm in the Black Box Theatre. They will run until approximately 7:00 pm and are open to only students who are auditioning. It is suggested to wear comfortable clothing for dancing in, hard soled shoes (tennis shoes are not recommended), and to bring a water bottle. Audition music will be available in the BCHS Office starting Monday, August 14th. 

Crew:

      Crew is open to all BCHS Students. All that are interested in joining should email the student's name, grade, cell phone, parent name, and parent email to Hope Jackson at 19jacksh@elmbrookstudents.org

Pit Orchestra:

       All that are interested in being a part of pit orchestra can talk directly to Mr. Gillette (gillettj@elmbrookschools.org). Depending on the Musical Score and the instruments required, Mr. Gillette will select the Musicians needed.
